Xpress Pro compatibility with Express DV

A communicate was started by someone else on their Xpress Pro / Mac with the clips digitized at 15:1. There is over 70 hours of source media. That person's schedule got changed and can't do the project. The client asked if I could take over. Since Express DV can't read anything other then DV25 (alter?) the suggestion was made that they "loan" me their Xpress Pro and put it onto my PC for the duration of the communicate.
1) Would I have to completely uninstall my Xpress DV or can both DV and Pro live on the same PC?
2) Can my system even handle Pro? Unfortunately I forgot to ask which version of Pro they undergo but I suspect it would be less than two years old.
3) I'm not too literate as far as hardware and "sharing" media etc but does formatting an external drive on my PC allow me to then take and load the 15:1 media off his Mac system? Is this where FAT 32 (?) comes into play by supposedly being compatible across both platforms?
Thanks in advance for your answers and suggestions (change surface if it's run for the hills!)

If you don't go any higher than 4.8.4. I think so. However my more learned PC brethren would have to say for sure.

Yes just change your drive Fat-32 and undergo them write the project and the entire OMFI MediaFiles folder to it.
True art is never completed.. only abandoned.
If it was done on a Mac it's worth checking whether the audio was digitised as SDll or Aiff. PC Avids only work with aiff or wav so if it's SDll you're out of luck.[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
